Subiectul este deja îndelung dezbătut pe forumuri/blog-uri. Unii spun că dacă ArenaNet a greșit și a introdus o rețetă care îți oferă avantaje uriașe, nu e normal să fii banned dacă ai abuzat de ea. Am impresia că unii nu înțeleg ce înseamnă ”exploit”. Când găsești un exploit/bug care îți permite să obții câștiguri rapide mult mai ușor decât orice alte metode, singurul lucru pe care îl ai de făcut e să raportezi problema, nu să abuzezi de ea.
Nu e prima dată când ArenaNet banează jucători care abuzează de așa ceva. Prima dată când s-a întâmplat asta a fost incidentul cu armele care se puteau cumpăra cu 21 karma în loc de 21000 karma – o eroare umană care s-a remediat ulterior. În acel caz au transformat cele 3000 de ban-uri permanente în ban-uri pe 3 zile, însă au menționat atunci că dacă astfel de situații se mai repetă, nu vor mai fi atât de îngăduitori. Ei, uite că s-a întâmplat să se repete, iar acum măsurile care s-au luat au fost mai severe.
Să susții că ”nu știai” că a abuza de acea rețetă e un exploit când tu, de bună credință, ai craftat acel item de sute/mii de ori, mi se pare ridicol. Persoanele care susțin că dacă e în joc înseamnă că e un intended feature sunt fie proaste de dau în gropi, fie rău intenționate.
Când vrei să folosești un produs sau un serviciu, mi se pare absolut normal să faci acest lucru în condițiile specificate de producător/furnizor. În cazul GW2, acele condiții sunt clar menționate aici: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/ - mai exact, în acest caz a fost clar încălcat punctul 17 din Rules of Conduct:
